Canister Load Cells
Traditional canister cells have stood the test of time and provide a compact and cost effective solution for many high capacity weighing systems. Some compression cells can be damaged by relatively small side loads and therefore it is advisable to use proprietary mounting hardware to ensure correct introduction and protection from side loads. Canister cells can be fully weld sealed and stainless steel construction is now an industry standard.

The BTY alloy steel canister load cells are available in a wide range of capacities, from 10,000kg to 60,000kg. This high accuracy and high capacity canister type cell is constructed from alloy steel with IP67 environmental protection. Coventry Scales have been selling this canister cell for many years and it is one of our best selling models.
The canister type can be used in compression only. The BTY canister type can be used in many applications, weighbridge and lorry weighing scales, car weighing scales, tank and silo weighing scales, railway scales, axle weighing scales and platform scales.
The BTY is also available in stainless steel and with IP68 class environmental protection.
