Torsion Ring Load Cells
Torsion ring load cells are a relatively new concept in load cell design and provide an excellent low profile solution for a wide range of weighing applications. Unlike standard compression load cells, which can readily suffer from off-axis loading problems, torsion ring load cells are loaded through a centrally located annular ring. By using a central floating pin to transmit load to this ring, optimum load introduction is assured and off-axis loads up to three or four degrees can be tolerated without loss in performance. Proprietary mounting assemblies, which offer excellent versatility, are now available for both process weighing applications and platform scales. The compact design of the torsion ring load cell readily lends itself to all stainless steel welded construction.
Load Cell Description:
The RNT-MA stainless steel torsion ring load cell is available in a wide range of capacities, from 1,000kg to 47,000kg. This high accuracy and high capacity torsion ring type load cell is constructed from stainless steel with IP68 environmental protection.
This load cell can be used in compression. The RNT-MA torsion ring load cell can be used in many applications, weighbridge and lorry weighing scales, car weighing scales, tank and silo weighing scales, railway scales, axle weighing scales and platform scales.
The RNT-Ma torsion ring load cell is also available in alloy steel and with IP67 class environmental protection.
